What now seems to be an easy fundraiser for St. Jude’s is the preschool trikeathon and Cutler’s was yesterday. Despite his strong desire to ride his big wheel, I managed to persuade him to ride a his bicycle like a “big boy” and so with his helmet pushing down his beautiful feauxhawk he proved to be quite the big boy as he proudly rode around in circles for a solid 10 minutes of fun. Below is a shortened video of those 10 minutes as well as a couple of photos.

Links Fore Leukemia!
I have often considered putting together a golf tournament in an effort to raise funds for our annual Light The Night effort, but then I discovered the Links Fore Leukemia tournament put on by the LLS annually. Last year Cutler was the honored hero and it was my first time playing in it. I shared a video put together by the Stars and their connection with the tournaments honorary chairman, Vernon Fiddler. This year we are back for our second round of love and attention. As part of our involvement a journalist student from the University of North Texas came by for an interview and put together this article on Cutler.

I already have my awesome foursome together, however if there is anyone looking for a great tournament where all funds go to a great cause, please consider joining us on 5/12. For more information please visit the link below or just reach out to me. I’m also on the advisory board and we are still looking for sponsorships and/or items for the silent auction.

Mason’s Fool
Yesterday Mason was explaining to me what he wanted to do in order to play a joke for April Fools Day and it involved an elaborate scheme using a blue cheese dressing packet and a wire hanger or any wire of some sort. The objective was to place the dressing packet above a door way and attach it to the wire so that when the poor fool walks by the dressing will splatter all over the unsuspecting fool. When I told him that wasn’t a good idea he then asked if he could set some sort of trip wire (no idea where he gets these thoughts). This is when I tried to explain the nature of fooling someone and ruined his fun of trying to injure or blue cheese someone. Fast forward to this evening and the boys are in the living room while I am in the kitchen and Cutler let’s out a man size belch (I will admit I am kind of proud of his skills) followed by Mason asking him why he would do that and he continued to tell me that Cutler belched right in his face. Because I wouldn’t put this past Cutler I immediately asked Cutler what he was thinking and why he did it. Low and behold Mason figured out the spirit behind the day and I became Mason’s Fool sans blue cheese and trip wire.

Spring Is Officially Here
I don’t know the actual date that it was official, but in my world it’s not official until professional baseball is underway and today we took the boys to see the Rangers’ AA team take on their AAA team. The weather was beautiful, the kids were having fun, and baseball was being played. My heart is officially full and the winter doldrums are shaken away.
Time For A Paternity Check
Here is a video of Cutler hustling down the first base line from today’s game. Check out the speed. Looks like Mason and I may be running the piano moving company without him.

The only thing worse than having to watch your five year old poop is having to listen to his narrative of what is happening while it is happening.
