Spring Is Officially Here
I don’t know the actual date that it was official, but in my world it’s not official until professional baseball is underway and today we took the boys to see the Rangers’ AA team take on their AAA team. The weather was beautiful, the kids were having fun, and baseball was being played. My heart is officially full and the winter doldrums are shaken away.
Time For A Paternity Check
Here is a video of Cutler hustling down the first base line from today’s game. Check out the speed. Looks like Mason and I may be running the piano moving company without him.
When Youth Sports Collide
No Words
My older sister, Angie, put this picture of her and my younger sister, Becky, up on Facebook yesterday and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to share. I don’t remember them having this made, but reminds me of all of the pictures of my mom and Grandma Fricke that were take, I assume, at the beauty shop. From the comments, my only guess is that it is a glamour shot. Angie has threatened embarrassing pictures of me from my childhood, but I was so damn cute I am not sure they could be embarrassing. Yes, I realize that there will soon be an overflow including the one of me and the Easter Bunny that Becky’s husband, Joe, scanned and emailed to himself from my parents’ house a couple of years ago. He loves to throw that one out occasionally. However, I fear not as I have plenty more. And so, perhaps, the battle begins…

Happy Birthday Aunt Linda
Happiness Is…
On the way to pick up the boys from school I had a sudden feeling of happiness and for some reason it sent me to thinking back to my grade school days and the Happiness song. I have very vivid memories of sitting in our music class, which was held on the stage separated from the gymnasium by folding doors, singing this very song. It was such an odd memory to pop up, but was quickly followed by many memories from my days spent at Laverna Evans Elementary School. Not to sound old, but oh how those were the days. 🙂
