Just heard from Melanie that she is chugging along and just passed mile 17. Three short of her longest run.

The Moose Is Lose
Mile 9 Looking Fine
Mile 7
3 miles
Just heard from Melanie that she is 3 miles in and feeling good. Meanwhile the leader just ran past us at the 9 mile point and not another soul in site. Those Kenyans are pretty damn impressive.
She’s Off
My Wife, The Rock Star
Northwest that is. Tomorrow afternoon Melanie and I are catching a plane to Anchorage, Alaska for Melanie’s first marathon with Team In Training. I am very proud to say that she is one of the top two fund raisers from her team heading up as she raised over $6000. She is a real rock star, her team jersey even says it. Now I am curious if this means that we get to treat our hotel room as if we were rock stars. Thanks to many of you for your help in this incredible fund-raising effort as it wouldn’t be possible without you. I will be taking pictures and posting updates to the blog throughout the race to keep everyone updated on her progress.
Thanks again for everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and help raising money to help put an end to this horrible disease!
And a special shout out to our friend Andrea Gillum, who we roped into this whole affair as well as she has managed to raise over $4000 in honor of Cutler. Thanks Andrea!
2 Going On 16
We are working on the minor distractions, like the outside world, but once get past that we think Cutler will be ready for exiting the driveway and hitting the main roads. No need to worry, I am teaching him about stop signs, not his mother.
Happy Birthday Mom!
Today, and I still have 40 minutes to say that, is my mother’s birthday and in order to celebrate we got a bounce house! Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!
The Next Mike Liut
I would imagine that title is lost on a lot of you, but at least my dad will get it. Below are a couple of videos of Mason’s latest hockey efforts. The first is him “playing” goalie where he stones the best player on the ice and if you listen close enough you can actually hear him call out the block. (he gets the arrogance from his mother) If you want to skip ahead, hit happens around the 53 second mark.
This next video is at the beginning of his most recent scrimmage where he “won” the faceoff and the team went on to score a goal. It’s a good example of how much he has improved as a skater. Apparently those weekly private lessons are worth the money.
And finally just a short clip as a reminder why we continue to go to the weekly private lessons.
