He’s Found His Voice

Watch out for my teeth...and my smile

First things first, as I am sure everyone that reads is wondering, Cutler’s blood work continued to improve.  His platelets increased again and his reading that measures his ability to fight infection is at the minimum level the doctors want to see in order to send him home.  So barring any major issues, tomorrow after his spinal tap we will be bringing Cutler home for a little bit.  While I am still scared to death of him catching something, I am terribly excited to have the entire family together and not sure of the dates yet, but it would be an added bonus to celebrate my birthday without being in the hospital.  Fortunately for us, unfortunately for him, Dr Ghisoli lives right around the corner in case there any issues.  🙂

Today was another excellent day for Cutler and tonight was a great father/son night for the two of us.  He has been incredibly playful and cuddly tonight and I couldn’t get enough of his hugs and he couldn’t give them enough.  It is amazing how much love comes from such a small package.  Cutler also recently found his voice and loves to just lie there and scream out.  I have attached a video below where Cutler and I took turns growling.

Now, I hate to be Debbie Downer, but I do want to reiterate that this trip home is only temporary and by no means is Cutler cured.  I mention this because it helps me cope with this fact.  I often fear that I have my head buried in the sand and just hear the positives, but I do know that in the end with everyone’s thoughts, prayers, continued support, Cutler’s strength and determination it is God’s will for Cutler to win this fight in a glorious manner as he has greater plans for him in the coming years.

  2. I absolutely love this video. He will make sure that he is heard. We pray daily for the cure and trying to think positively doesn’t mean that your head is burried in the sand. Positivity is what gives strength and courage to go on and fight the daily battle against leukemia. Positivity, prayers and determination are often a big role in the ability to beat an ugly monster like this. We send many prayers and much love! Hunter sends kisses!

  5. Cutler and his awesome family bring so much inspiration to so many. It seems odd to say in the face of such an ugly disease, but you all are very blessed to have so much love, joy, and strength within yourselves. You are handling this with such grace you make it seem easy, though I have no doubt that it is not. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. And thank you Cutler for all the smiles! You’re amazing!

  7. Love the squealing video! My twin boys are the same size and at the same stage of development – isn’t it amazing to watch them learn! When this is all over, I’d love for our little ones to meet; they’ve all gotten off to a rocky start, but maybe that means they have really big things to accomplish in this world. Tough little guys aren’t they! God bless you all and we’ll continue the prayers.

  10. Hello Everyone,

You all have been on my heart all day long. Thought I would write a little note.

Father, I ask You to bless Melanie, Aaron, Cutler, Mason and all the relatives we care deeply for. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.

Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill the need. Father, Bless all these precious people.

Much Love and Prayer Today and Always,

    Beverly Jones
