Our Newest Hockey Skater

After taking a few months away from the rink, we have started back and both boys are showing some great progress. Thanks to a great instructor, Coach Katie, Mason is doing stuff naturally that I have never seen him do before after only two lessons. However, the most impressive improvement has been by Cutler. After two lessons with her I decided to put him in hockey skates and after only two falls he is “zooming” all around the ice. He loves skating by himself as I sit in the bleachers playing games on my phone, but I couldn’t resist and got out there with him to film this for his adoring fans.

He was definitely going faster than it appears, next time I won’t skate alongside him when I film.

UPDATE:

While looking through another day of videos I realized I had one taken from the stands where you can see just how quick he can actually motors when he wants.  Now if we could only get his right leg to stride as well.  Also, take note of the dancing Mason skating in the background at the beginning of the video.  I can picture him in cut off jeans, a tank top and busting his moves in the local roller skate rinks in the 80’s.

Welcome Back

So last week I sat down and made a decision that it is time to start posting a bit more actively than I have.  In fact I even posted a fun picture of what I have been doing in place of actually keeping everyone updated on our happenings.  Then after a days worth of investigation I realized that all of those that were gracious enough to follow us via email were deleted (not by me).  After another day of debating the solution with the wonderful people at wordpress they realized that they could add everyone back.  That being said, if you had deleted on your own and have now been added back, my apologies, please feel free to remove yourself once again and take the chance to miss out on the amazing and brilliant stuff that comes from my mind.  I didn’t want you to be my friend anyway.

For those that are choosing to stick around, I apologize for my few months of procrastination and writer’s block.  My goal is to litter your inbox with at least one post per week going forward, but don’t be surprised if it’s multiple posts per one day a week as I am considering opening the flood gates of entertainment that usually resides solely in my head.

I would ask that you please check out the last couple of posts and we have some friends in need of prayers and positive thoughts from everyone possible.

Glen’s Update

A little over a year ago I asked for prayers requests for my good Friend, Glen Del Rosario, as he was beginning his battle against cancer.  https://teamfricke.wordpress.com/2012/06/20/cancer-sucks/

Today his wife has posted on Facebook the following…

“Glen’s lung tumor doubled in size, but thankfully his back is healed enough to switch to the hard stuff.  After a brain MRI in the next couple of days, we’ll get started on his next chemo regimen. Praying it’s effective and not too tough on him.”

Please continue to keep Glen, his wife Tonya, and their three beautiful girls in your thoughts and prayers as his battle intensifies.  Glen is continuing to be a role model fighter in this battle as he keeps his sense of humor and his faith is stronger than ever.

Procrastination

I can’t believe it has been over a month since I have posted anything and only a couple of posts in just two months, but alas here is where we are and is the example of what happens when you decide to quit procrastinating tomorrow.  So while we have been very busy over the past couple of months I don’t want you to think I have forgotten about all of you and your constant desire to have our life thrust into your email box and facebook page, it’s just that at night when I used to do most of my posts I find myself doing this.

procrastinations

Now that I have washed my hands and my nose is clean it is time to make tomorrow today and stop the procrastination.  So here stands your warning that I am soon to flood this site with plenty of outdated news about baseball dominance, lost teeth, trips to see the family, and all other things interesting to mainly me and the grandparents.

Prayer Requests and Proof They Work

First off, I would like to ask for prayers for an anonymous family friend and his two month old child.  I don’t know all of the details, but I know their baby girl is under going tests for an immune system issue and are awaiting results in the next two weeks.  Naturally I am praying for all to turn out alright, but I am also praying for him and his family to find strength in their faith during this difficult time.  When the family is more comfortable sharing details, I will be quick to share, but in the mean time please send out your prayers.

Now to the proof that your prayers over the past years have worked, my dear friend Jared that had a cancerous tumor on his heart and endured surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy just met with his doctors in Houston and he is now 12 months cancer free!
