The Butterfly Whisperers
We recently released some butterflies that we raised from the caterpillar stage and the boys proved to be kindred spirits with the butterflies as they handled them with care even though they would fly to another part of the yard. Mason went as far as to name them…Rocky (because he hung out in the rocks), Lazy (because he didn’t like to fly much), and unfortunately I have already forgotten the other names. Below are a couple of photos of the boys connecting with nature.
The Talented Mr Mason
While driving to baseball on Saturday Mason was singing to a song on the radio and after I complimented him on his singing he told me his three favorite hobbies (hopefully not in any particular order) are 1) singing 2) acting and 3) playing sports. Last Thursday he put his first two favorite hobbies into practice as he performed in his first play as part of his “drama” class that he has been taking as part of an after school program. Below are some snippets from the play. It was quick, entertaining, and most importantly Mason had a great time.
