He Shoots…

He scores!  They broke out hockey sticks at the last skating practice and Cutler enjoyed it for a couple of shots before deciding he had it mastered and it was time to exit the ice for dinner.

Team Cutler Is Expanding

I guess I shouldn’t say it is expanding as my family back home has always been a big part of our team, but I am happy to say that we will have five more walkers for Light The Night 2012 in October and they are already working on fundraising.  The Hopkins girls wanted to have a lemonade stand with the understanding all of the profits would go to our Light The Night fundraising efforts.  Aside from the stand, Josie and Lindsey loaded up Josie’s car and started selling door to door.  If college falls through, it sounds like they could go into vacuum sales.  They managed to raise over $50 which is pretty dang good for a last second effort.  I’m very proud of my nieces for their selfless efforts.  If you want to join the team or just provide your financial support, our team page is http://pages.lightthenight.org/ntx/Plano12/teamcutler2012.  There is a link to join the team at the bottom.  As always, feel free to spread the word.  Every little bit counts.

Starting Him Young

This weekend was Cutler’s first “baseball” game.  It’s called BlastBall and it was indeed a blast.  Below is the first play of the season.  Cutler is number 1 and I couldn’t be more proud of his aggressiveness.  Now we just need to work on the execution.

Melanie’s Early Mother’s Day Gift

At school this week Mason was working on a project that was for Melanie and why she was the number one mom.  When I got it out of his backpack and translated it from kindergarten learning english to a more advanced level of english I was beyond touched and couldn’t wait for Melanie to get home and see it.  He really is a special boy with an incredible heart.  He obviously gets his loving side from me.

Translation:

My mom was voted #1 because:

She lets me have dessert every night.

I love when my mom:

Eats Pizza

My mom and I like to:

Go to have a picnic

Fun facts about my mom:

She loves me

She drives me to get ice cream

She drives me to school

We obviously need to work on the spelling, but the heart is definitely in the right place.  I just wish he had school during the summer so I could get something similar for father’s day.  🙂  Below is the actual writing.
