Out of ICU

After one night in the ICU, we are back in our “old” room.  Cutler is doing very well today…smiling and laughing.  Sometimes it’s hard to believe he is as sick as he is.  But we know things will get worse before they get better.

Thank you for all of your kind words of encouragement, thoughts, calls and prayers…we feel the love and prayers of everyone who is cheering on Cutler to beat this awful disease!

Melanie

Melanie and Aaron…..take care of yourselves and hug Mason when you can for me and Austin (and Rick)!

  2. I just saw the posting that Ellen put on Facebook. Words cannot express the shock that I felt when I opened the blog. Your entire family will be in all of the Higgins’ prayers. God will give you strength to endure all that is coming your way. We will pray for Cutler’s rapid and complete recovery.

  4. I, Nanna & Aunt Pat just got back from watching Cutler so Melanie, Aaron & Mason could have dinner together. Cutler was very happy and playful today. You almost forget that he is so sick until you look at all the drugs running into his little body. He is such a special baby and I have to believe that God put him on this earth for a very special reason. I know God has his arms wrapped around Cutler and will take care of him. I thank all of you who are praying and putting him on prayer lists. God does answer prayers. Miracles happen every day.

  5. Please know that Cutler has quite a following in Michigan. Several people in the clinic (both coworkers and patients) anxiously await new posts and pictures to keep up with you all. We are all praying for your family.

  6. Admitting your child is “sick” is something I’m not sure you will ever do….I don’t think I did….I sat in denial, numbness, and when I somehow snapped out of it many months later, I just enjoyed every moment and made the best of it….which sounds like you are already doing. You’re doing a great job.

    Thinking of you this morning.
